Michael Subit is a partner with the Seattle firm of Frank Freed Subit & Thomas LLP where he handles a majority of the firm’s appellate work and has developed a voter initiative law practice.
A Native New Yorker, Subit previously practiced in Washington, D.C., as an employment discrimination and civil rights lawyer after working as an attorney for the ACLU in Southern California. He is a frequent contributor to amicus briefs in employment and other public policy cases nationwide and has appeared as a television analyst for NBC Nightly News, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News. He has also penned numerous employment law articles and is a frequent speaker at legal conferences.
Subit is a former co-chair of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section annual conference and served as co-chair of the EEO Committee of the ABA Labor and Employment section. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Yale University and his JD at Stanford University.
