Shay is a proud graduate of Harris-Stowe State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Information Technology and a Master’s Degree in Management from Fontbonne University.
She has been employed within Corporate America for 20 plus years. During her time in Corporate America, Shay held leadership, management and supervisory roles. Shay empowered individuals on their journey, and believe we all are visionaries. Shay managed others, incorporate their skills to achieve success in their position and maintain a meaningful and positive working relationship with people, which contributed to organization’s growth. Shay has a proven track record of success in business management and operation with the focus on streamlining processes.
Shay has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, business development, project planning, leadership, operations, research and management within the marketplace. Shay’s current role requires networking, innovativeness, forward thinking, extensive research, utilizing various resources, logical and critical thinking and in depth problem solving skills, strategizing and implementing to achieve desired results, which makes Shay a great asset. Shay continues to grow her family’s mom-and-son business Mr. Fresh by providing consumer goods, nurturing existing customers and looking for innovative opportunities.
She remains passionate about making an impact on the community through entrepreneurship to provide new choices and changing consumer demand. Shay is intentional about entrepreneurship. Shay recognizes that people, relationships and partnerships along with innovation are the real solution to creating sources of wealth. Shay teaches entrepreneurial skills can be used in jobs, other roles in society and even parenting. Shay is active in her community as a member of the St. Louis Science Center Community Partners.
